Week 4: From a High Angle

For this weeks 52-Capture Challenge, the theme was from a high angle. I struggled with this one as well. I hope that as the year goes on, I will become more creative with these.

So, I kept racking my brain, and searching online for ideas. This idea seemed great to me. The next photograph was my official submission for this week. It is two of my favorite hobbies, reading and photography!

Some others I took that I liked are below.
Above is my desk which was recently relocated from the basement to my kitchen. It usually isn't this clean!

Here is a similar photo to the one I actually used this week. But it was later when I thought of using my old  film camera instead of glasses.

Well, got to run for now. Next week on the 52-Capture Challenge, fruit.

Week 3: The Color Red

I struggled with this one! I know there is a lot of red things out there, but nothing that I loved! Well, I finally got an idea from someone to use a bunch of red balloons. I loved this idea right from the start. I thought, what fun! You usually only have balloons for parties, but why not get them for the heck of it? I run a home daycare here in addition to being an aspiring photographer. So this was great for all of us. I get to use them for my challenge, then the kids each got one to keep! So, without further ado, my submission for the color red was:

I had one other I was considering as well. So I figured I would share that with you, too. This close second is:

Up next week, from a high angle.

Happy New Year ~ Week 1: self portrait

I am exciting to share I am starting the new year with an exciting new journey. I am taking part in a year long photographers challenge. I hope to use this challenge to help myself grow creatively. This challenge was presented from Photographer's Connection on Facebook. It is titles Photographers 52-Capture Challenge. Each week there is a new "theme" to photograph. Here is the flyer for 2012:

Week one was a self portrait. I must say this was tough, considering my tripod is broken. But I got creative. I ended up in my room, placing my camera on my bed, and I sat against a bare wall on the floor! After a bunch of tries to get my positioning right, this is what I got for my first submission of 2012!
