Wow, Have I been slacking!

Hello Blogger world. So sorry I have been away for a while. I am here to catch up on my weekly challenge photos. I have for you weeks 19-23.

First, week 19 was Strength. My photo is the Tarot VIII. When drawn right-side-up, this card represents strength, courage, or determination. Watch out though, if read up-side-down, this card can represent pettiness or weakness.

Week 20 was funny faces. Of course having my kids and then I babysit too, I have plenty of willing participants for this theme!

Week 21 was the color purple. I chose to photograph my hanging plant. This was my mother's day gift from my dad. It has been a traditional gift from him every year (that I have been a mom!). I love having something to brighten up my deck during the summer!

Week 22 was multiplicity, or otherwise known as sequencing. This was fun for me. I have never tried this technique until now. Basically, this is when you take multiple shots of a specific subject in one frame. Then,  using editing software, you put them together to make one photo with multiples of the one subject. Anyway, I think for my first attempt, this was pretty good.

Lastly, week 23, in the woods.

Week 24 is this week, and the theme is flowers. I will have this one up as soon as the rain stops! See you then!

Weeks 16, 17, 18

Sorry that I have yet again fallen behind!! I have just started watching my new baby niece a couple weeks ago, and it has been an adjustment having not just a sixth child here at my daycare, but she is only three months old to boot! Anywho, I think things are leveling out, and our routine has smoothed yet again.
I have for you now week 16, which was 'Landscape'

Next is week 17, 'Head-shot'. I mentioned I started babysitting my new niece, so of course who else would I use for this challenge???? My niece!!!!

Lastly, this weeks challenge, which is 'A Burst of Color'. While out and about by myself (which rarely happens) today, I bought myself some crazy daisies. Perfect for my week 18 challenge, and something to brighten up my kitchen!

See you next week for week 19, strength.

Week 14 and Week 15

Week 14 was candy. So, being Easter weekend, Jelly Beans were in excess. Hence my photo for this week.

 A toast to Jelly Beans:

Week 15 was rain. We wad the first Thunder Storm of the year this morning. How convenient that the theme this week is rain!

Next week is Landscapes.

Week 13: Tattoos

This is my tattoo. It was a 21st birthday gift to myself. I chose the rose because to me, it represents beauty. It is to remind me of not just of my own beauty, but the beauty of all life.

Next week is candy, yummy!

Week 11 and Week 12

Sorry I am a week late! Just didn't get around to posting last week! So week 11 was clocks. I got this while out driving (in the snow!). Not the best photo, but hey, I got it done!

This week was someone you admire. I have so many people I admire that I could have used. Like any of my kids, my husband, my mom, my dad, etc. I went with my middle baby though. Some things I admire about him are his great imagination, his love for family, his creativity, and his energy.

Next week is Tattoos. See you then!

Week 8: Bad Hair Day

So, a picture of the television not so great. But this was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this weeks challenge. I wouldn't say his hair was bad though, more like bad ass! Love Giorgio!!!

Next week is Cars. See you then!

Week 7: ♥LOVE♥

Very appropriate for the week of Valentine's Day! This week had a ton of possibility. But, if you don't know me yet, I like to try and think outside the box for these challenge photos. That being said, I have two for this week. The first one was my official pick. The second one I did for fun.

Up for next week is bad hair day. Ha, this is me everyday!!!! See you then!

Week 6: Sports

Well, we are not big sports people here, so I drew a blank for this week. I know Hockey and Basketball are in right now, but nobody I know plays. Despite that, we do play with sports stuff here. So I have different equipment hanging around. So, that is my picture for this week!

Next week is love. See you then!

Week 5: Numbers

Could this have been an easier theme?! Numbers are everywhere! The possibilities were endless.

For my "official: photo, I tried to get numbers that are noticed the least. The numbers of a telephone pole. I gave this photo an antique feel just because I felt like it!

Some more number photos I did for this week are below.

 (Numbers of a clock)

 (House number)

(Numbers of a phone)

Like I said before, there were so many options for this week. I could have easily had more. But, I didn't want to get carried away!

Up next week is Sports. Really not sure how I will do that, since it is January in New Hampshire. Does sledding count as a sport? Of course I am 2 hours away from a ski hill.... I will figure it out!

Week 4: Starts with "C"

On to week four already! This week was easy! There are so many things that start with C. Candy, cat, car, etc. This week I chose to cookies.

Next week is Numbers, see you then!

Week 3: Starts with "P"

Week 3 was Starts with "P". P for purple, my favorite color! So, technically this is amethyst, but is still a purple shade!

Next week is Starts with "C"

Week 2: Innocence

Hello again. Week two is here. This week's subject was innocence. This was easy for me. Obviously, I used my kids!!! I know they are not perfect angels as far as behavior, but, they are still young enough that they are in there own world of innocence.

Next week is starts with "P", see you then!

New Macro Lens

So, for my holiday gift I received a new 40mm Macro lens from my dear husband. I think I am in love with it! I wanted to share some of my first photographs using my new toy!

My Amethyst birthstone ring.

 Baby Pine Cone

Vine wrapped around branch.

You may be seeing more macro photography from me in the future. It has also been something that interested me for a long time. I had trouble doing this without a proper lens. Now, the possibilities are endless!!!!!

Week 1: New Years Resolution / Goal

Well, 2012 is officially over. I am proud to have finished all 52 weeks of the 2012 52-Capture Challenge! I was really excited to know the group I belong to was doing another 52-Capture Challenge this year! I found last year's to be a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I am more then ready to do it again this year!

So, for starters, let me share the official list with you! This list is provided by Photographer's Connection. http://photographersconnection.com/

Week one is New Years Resolution / Goal. My picture for this week represents just one of my four goals for 2013. That would be to eat healthy and stay healthy. AKA, get of my butt more and not eat so much junk!!!!

I have 3 other goals that I set for myself in 2013. The second one is to be a better teacher to my children. See, I stay home with them, and they are getting closer to kindergarten. I need to make more time to read to them, and teach them what they need to know for school. It won't be easy, but I am going to try!!! So, for my second picture, I have a book to help with the above goal.

My next two goals are represented in one picture. I have a bad temper, not sugar coating it. So, I have prescribed myself more patience! I also have a tendency to impulse buy. So, my last goal is to be wiser with my spending. Pointless shopping will be a hard habit to break. But, hey, I have quit a bad addiction before, so why not this one, too?

All right, so that concludes week one! See you next week for week two!
